CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT

A huge CHEERS! to our co-owner and can design wunderkind Robert Edmonds of Evoke International Design for helping us bag a bronze in the Best Series Packaging category at the 2024 Canada Beer Cup!

Mr. Edmonds is no one-trick pony. Principal at the Evoke design firm he co-founded with fellow Main St. co-owner David Nicolay in 2001, he’s designed posters and promotional materials for pro sports leagues like the NHL, NBA and CFL and House of Blues Concerts & Live Nation Canada and USA. Hewas previously awarded Best Can Design at the 2022 BC Beer Awards for his Kingpin Pale Ale label. He’s also received a Juno nomination for his packaging work with Blue Rodeo, and plays bass in the band The Wivez,

“Whether it’s designing a beer label, a wall mural or a logo, I always think it’s important that there’s a story behind the design,” he told BC Ale Trail in a 2021 interview. “It gives an opportunity for the viewer (or drinker, in this case) to be engaged and therefore perpetuate the story.”
